Privacy, in plain language.

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and password. When you build your profile we store the content you choose to add: your video resume, work history, skills, education and any links you include.

We also collect basic technical information needed to run the service — device type, browser, IP address and usage events such as sign-ins and profile views. We do not buy data about you from third parties.

We use your information to operate Resu.Me: rendering your profile, processing your video, powering sharing links and showing you relevant opportunities and connections.

We use aggregate, de-identified usage data to understand how the product is used and to improve it. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your video content to train advertising profiles.

Your profile is private by default. It becomes visible to others only when you share your link or enable discovery. You can disable sharing, regenerate your link or take your profile offline at any time from your settings.

When you share a profile link, anyone with that link can view the content you have chosen to publish. Treat your link like you would treat a resume attachment.

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on Resu.Me.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual content (such as a video) at any time, and deleting your account removes your profile and personal data from our production systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We protect your data with industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
