The story
Somewhere between the keyword scanners and the one-click applies, the job search stopped being about people.
Resumes became inputs. Candidates became rows in a database. Four hundred applications per opening, fewer than one in ten ever read by human eyes — and on the other side, hiring teams drowning in identical PDFs, trying to guess which one is a person they would actually want on their team.
